Pole/Zero released their new line of HF-ERF™ tunable bandpass filters covering the entire HF tactical radio band of 1.5 to 30 MHz while fitting in a low-profile package measuring 2.0” x 2.78”x 0.60” (50.8 mm x 70.61 mm x 15.24 mm). The HF-ERF™ combines SMT capability with typical 0.25 dB compression points at +18 dBm (Fo < 4 MHz), +26 dBm (4.0 MHz < Fo > 10 MHz) and +27 (10MHz < Fo > 30 MHz) in-band and +33 dBm out-of-band RF power handling, +28 to +38 dBm IIP3, low IL (5.5 dB typical in a 3% filter), 200 μs typical tune time and remarkable selectivity (33 dB Typical @ f₀ ± 10% for 3% BW) for a compact device. HF-ERF™ filters tune using either Parallel or Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) tuning control and are fully pre-aligned by Pole/Zero for labor savings and ease of use. These low-cost bandpass filters are commonly used in applications where small size, low power, and high performance are needed such as military handheld radios, radar systems, SATCOM, test and measurement systems and additional commercial applications.
